Before I tell you something about myself, I want to tell you briefly what you can expect from theclasses. If you are a starting guitarist, you can learn everything you need to learn with me. We'll look at what kind of guitarist you want to be in different ways and we'll walk that path based on that. Do you want to try a little bit of everything? Then that is also possible. My background is: I started with pop, then studied classical guitar and jazz as a minor, in which I eventually studied flamenco for a year in Spain. The combination is really ideal for teaching! Performing you will mainly find me in flamenco shows/performances. That is why my teaching practice/music studio is located in the same building as my friend Jessica Achten's flamenco dance studio at 157 Gluebeekstraat (espacio flamenco encuentros). Biography - Tijn van der Sanden (1989). 

Tijn started with electric guitar at the CPJ in Eindhoven. In 2005 Tijn followed the preparatory year for classical guitar at the Tilburg Conservatory with Hein Sanderink. He then continued his studies and entered the Conservatory of Amsterdam, majoring in music from Lydia Kennedy and flamenco guitar from Eric Vaarzon Morel. During his studies he followed masterclasses by Fabio Zanon, Enno Voorhorst and David Russel.  In 2011 he graduated from the CVA and continued his studies in Seville, Spain. At the Fundacion Christina Heeren he received daily technique, singing and dance accompaniment lessons and took theory and history lessons. The lessons were given by Pedro Sierra, Niño de Pura, Eduardo Rebollar and Paco Cortes, among others. He also took master classes from Tino van der Sman, Manuel de la Luz and Antonio Rey. 

   With a break of 2 years Tijn worked from 2009-2019 at the Music School Ceres in Utrecht. In 2014 he started his own teaching practice and teaches at all levels and all ages. From children aged 7 to an elderly in their 70s.

He is versed in pop, classical and flamenco guitar. He acquired his theoretical knowledge at the Conservatory and studied 'composition for film & theater in Bonn' (Germany). Tijn is actively working on increasing the flamenco scene in the Eindhoven region. He accompanies the flamenco dance lessons at the flamenco dance school "Espacio Flamenco Encuentros" at Strijp-s. Together with Jessica and Natlab, he organizes the annual Flamenco Festival Eindhoven. He regularly performs with different compositions with national and international artists. He has taken over the musical direction for several dance performances. (Tierradentro, FlamenColores) and participated in several projects in theater, TV productions. Despite his musical projects, teaching always makes him enthusiastic.
